Welcome to the homepage of the Eastern Vipers Cricket Club for the Blind and Partially Sighted

Are you an active person with less than perfect sight - or do you know someone who is?

Have a competitive streak and enjoy playing sport?

Man or woman, teens to sixties?

How about cricket minus the broken fingers and expensive equipment – and a cup with a final at Lords?

The Eastern Vipers cricket club plays competitive cricket against other visually impaired teams in both league and cup competitions, together with a number of friendly games against surrounding villages in the Cambridgeshire area.

Players in our game cover a wide spectrum of sight levels, from those with not quite enough to drive, down to those with no sight at all. Our game follows the real game of cricket as closely as possible with only a few differences, the main one being the size and hardness of the ball. Oh, and did we mention it rattles?

It doesn't matter what level of cricket experience you have, or even if you have none: if you're interested in playing then we're interested in hearing from you. We have training sessions and practices if you need a taster, and the commitment to play can suit your availability.

The club is friendly, welcoming and has a good social side both on and off the pitch, and apart from competition, our main aim is to have fun and enjoy playing cricket.

If you are interested in playing, or want to ask questions, please contact Danny Miles on 07926 972762 (phone or text) or by email at emowarrior@gmail.com. Alternatively, send us a message via the contact form on this site.
